The Warehouse Group announces appointment of Group Chief Financial Officer

The Warehouse Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Stirton as Group Chief Financial Officer effective from 1 April 2024.

For the last seven years Mr Stirton has been Chief Financial Officer, and before that Group Financial Director, at Mr Price Group in South Africa, one of the largest retailers in South Africa with over 2,700 stores. In addition to his Chartered Accountancy qualifications, Mark holds an MBA from the University of Barcelona.

“Mark brings a wealth of experience in the omni-channel value retail market from his time with Mr Price Group and will bring significant strategic, executional and financial expertise to the Group’s executive leadership team,” says CEO Nick Grayston.

Celia Mearns will continue to act as Acting CFO until Mr Stirton commences with The Warehouse Group next year.

“I would like to thank Celia for her valuable contribution as Acting CFO and look forward to her continuing to be an important part of our team moving forward,” says Mr Grayston.
